“If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.”
— Anonymous

One of the barriers I had to get past when I started sending out these emails were questions like these: Who am I to think I can do this? Why should anyone listen to what I have to say?”

Chances are you have some version of those questions when it comes to taking the next step in your career or personal life.

What if people laugh and say I’m not qualified for this job? What if they say I don’t deserve this opportunity?

When we ask ourselves these questions we’re essentially asking others for permission to live our lives. We need them to say it’s OK for us to pursue our dreams. We’re looking for the approval of others rather than living our own lives.

Today, let’s remember to pursue our dreams without asking for permission (or needing approval) from others.
